Aprons
Well, my younger sister Betsy was one of the recipients of an apron for National Tie One On Day! Here she is cooking up our wonderful Thanksgiving dinner wearing her new apron! I had a lot of fun stitching up these aprons & giving them out with a loaf of Pumpkin-Cranberry Bread! If anyone wants to tell their apron story please hit the comment button below. I'd love to hear from you! By the way, her apron was from the pattern by Threaded Pear called Flirty Skirty! This pattern & more are available at the shop & on the website.

Lemonade Days are Here!
This weekend June 6-8th is National Lemonade Days & we celebrate by being a host lemonade stand for The Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. Visit us at the shop for a icy cold glass of lemonade & make a donation to ASLF & you will automatically be enter into our drawing for this Pink Lemonade Quilt! This quilt has been a work in process for almost 2 years. We allowed many of our kids classes to work on piecing the quilt whenever we had some free time.
Fundraising statistic: ALSF is currently funding 80 research projects in leading childhood cancer institutions nationally. Awesome!

Welcome 2008
After a very busy & hectic holiday season, I am grateful for the start of a new year! I love the renewed enthusiasm January brings. I made one New Years Resolution & that was to keep my home studio more organized. I need the structure. That is why I almost always wear an apron - I feel more organized & in control of my life. And with all those great new apron patterns out there now who can resist! Flirty Skirty from Threaded Pear is one of my favorites.
January also brings happy customers to the shop, all refreshed & ready to tackle new projects. We are looking forward to new fabrics from Amy Butler, Heather Bailey, MODA, Kona Bay & lots more. It's going to be a good year!
As i look back on 2007 I didn't get much personal quilting done, but I did manage to get my husbands golf quilt done in time for his 50th birthday! I have been collecting the golf fabrics for 5 years & finally settled on a pattern from BlueUnderground Studios...it was perfect. Gracie, our 10 year old lab thinks so too!
I thought it would be fun to start off the new year with a contest! Post your New Years quilting resolution on my blog & we'll enter your name into a drawing for a free MODA Jelly Roll! One winner will be chosen on Super Bowl Sunday February 3rd & notified via email!
