Kids Classes Rock!

I love having the kids come & take classes here at the shop. Here are two of my most recent students after completing the Tote Bag Class! They both worked hard & did a great job. They could not wait to get back to school to show their friends! Keep up the good work girls!

Soak Wash

We've recently noticed an increase in popularity for this wonderful product, Soak. We've actually been selling it at the shop for well over a year now. It is a wonderful, gentle, no rinse product for all your fine washables. Our customers use it for their quilts, their lingerie(especially while traveling) & for those stuffed animals that are just too big or fragile for the washing machine.

We currently have in stock the Sola Scent by Amy Butler- my favorite!

I am really not much of a mall shopper anymore, but have you noticed the new signage at our local mall in Moorestown New Jersey? Is that not a quilt design on that sign? Some really cool things are going to be happening at the mall this summer & it's indeed quilt related! I'll write more about it when I get the info!

Book Singing with Shirley Bloomfield

Our book signing event yesterday with Shirley Bloomfield was wonderful. Not only did the weather brighten & give us a day of sunshine & 50 degrees; Shirley brought so many of her beautiful applique garden quilts to share with us...it was truly a spring day at the shop! She spend 2 hours signing her book The Applique Garden & did 2 demonstrations on tips in mastering applique. She wowed us all! Shirley is in the United States this month to teach at the Applique Academy in Williamsburg. She had many new patterns to share with us & we are excited to begin teaching them in the spring!

Aprons

Well, my younger sister Betsy was one of the recipients of an apron for National Tie One On Day! Here she is cooking up our wonderful Thanksgiving dinner wearing her new apron! I had a lot of fun stitching up these aprons & giving them out with a loaf of Pumpkin-Cranberry Bread! If anyone wants to tell their apron story please hit the comment button below. I'd love to hear from you! By the way, her apron was from the pattern by Threaded Pear called Flirty Skirty! This pattern & more are available at the shop & on the website.
